Poetry and classical music celebrating our beautiful countryside.

Readings by Michael and Clare Morpurgo with Carol Hughes and music from the Iddesleigh String Quartet: Kerenza Peacock (violin), Josh Michaels (violin), Steve Doman (viola), Joe Roberts (cello).

The quartet's players are from some of the country's most renowned orchestras. The music will include works by Boccherini, Vivaldi, Vaughan Williams, Schubert, and Elgar.

The poems, all inspired by trees we know and love, will include the works of local writers Ted Hughes, Sean Rafferty, and Michael Morpurgo. Carol Hughes, Clare Morpurgo, and Michael Morpurgo will read them.

The programme may be subject to alteration.

The proceeds from this concert will go to the roof repair fund-raising campaign for St. Sabinus' Church.
