St. Mary’s Parish Church of Mortehoe
Services

St. Mary’s Anglican Church is part of the Ilfracombe Team Ministry together with the churches of St. Sabinus’ Woolacombe and St. Matthew’s Lee.
The church is situated in the centre of the village. Mortehoe village goes back to the Domesday Book and beyond. The haunt of smugglers and wreckers in years gone by, its more recent history is as a farming village and now like Woolacombe down the hill is centred on tourism.
We are open daily from Easter to October for quiet meditation and prayer and we welcome you all to the church whether you are local or a visitor.
The church history dates back to the 12 century. We have various events taking place throughout the year.
11.30am: Family Service ( Held during School Summer Holidays)
10.00am: Fourth Sunday in Month Holy Communion.
10.00 am:Fourth Sunday in Month Holy Communion.
6.30 pm: Evensong (Second Sunday in the Month Holy Communion)
See Diary for Songs of Praise worship held throughout the year.
